Business Development Manager, Medical Devices, UK Wide role, £30,000 Basic, £36,000 OTE + Car + other benefits. This is a really interesting role within an organisation that manufactures controls that manage, measure and control both heat and humidity within hospitals to ensure that the correct environment is maintained. The role is selling into hospitals and is therefore ideal for an applicant selling medical devices looking for a sideways move into a different sector. The role is selling to the managers that are responsible for the maintaining of the hospital buildings and whilst the role is construction aligned the sale requires an individual that is experienced with selling into the NHS and private hospitals rather than any specific product knowledge. The absolute ideal candidate will have sold an instrumentation type product into hospitals and have knowledge of selling through NHS Frameworks.

This is a new business oriented role winning new projects within existing accounts and developing strong business partnership relationships with new clients, particularly in the private sector. The role has a strong technical emphasis and extensive training is offered - your personality, attitude and approach to a sales is far more relevant than previous experience. However what is imperative is your commercial abilities as sales are often in excess of £100K and can be complex, typically involving multi level board sign off.

To apply you will be the kind of person that is enthusiastic, positive with an effervescent personality and a hardworking, tenacious and reliable work attitude. You will have at least a couple of years of a proven field sales track record and will be a goal focused and targeted individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will be proactive, willing, flexible, quick-to-learn and have a gentle, sophisticated, almost chameleon-like approach, to business development. You will be known to your peers as a winner and looking for a long term and challenging role.
